I am really surprised at the critics who felt this movie crossed a line. If it was even a touch more serious, it wouldn't work at all. Taika Waititi walks the line beautifully. He uses his trademark kiwi humour to lighten the mood in order to be able to talk about these very difficult topics.
It is about how we are brainwashed by our society about what is acceptable and what isn't, it is about cruelty, fear, strength. It is about freedom - physical and intellectual. Of course it is about death and war and pain.
Amazing performances by all the actors, casting was immaculate!
Thank you Taika! We are blessed to have you in this world.

The way he says Jojo Betzler! I die of the adorableness everytime 😭. Man I have to watch that now! Thanks. “Offensive speech” is exactly what the right of “free speech” is intended to protect. There is no need to protect “inoffensive” speech.

Can you imagine my uplifting reaction when I saw this movie trailer the first time. I was like. FINALLY something touchy. which says alot given the situation where everyone goes ultra politically correct. It made me sad when York I said “I thought I was your best friend”. I like that he was genuinely surprised but proud at the loud reaction to him coming back as Korg. I loved his character as the often quirky comic relief. I also think he was surprised at how much louder the reaction was to his return than the fact of their being two Thor's.

She can come and look at it 😂😂😂. The dislikers are just fans mad that they have to pay xD. Great video. 11:56 It HUMANISES Hitler - I'd prefer that over the always grumpy, yelling lunatic that he's portrayed as in nearly every movie. We must face that it's human to be cruel, and that evil people may be relatable, charming and well mannered 99% of the day. Hitler could never have gotten a nation to worship him if he wasn't in touch with its human elements. One day, you may encounter a monster with the most pleasant demeanor, and you'll be tricked, because media taught you that evil dictators are obvious raving animals. And always grumpy.

Comedy is the lecherous little elf whispering into the kings ear, always telling the truth about human behavior. -Mel Brooks. Jojo Rabbit is Fantastic! Watched it thrice already. Know yourself and your enemy, you will never have to fear the battle. Know yourself but not the enemy and for every victory gained, you will suffer a loss. Know neither yourself nor the enemy and you will succumb to every battle. Can be applied here for debates.

Cracking up every time I see the cardboard uniform. I hope Waititi make a film for JoJo and Yorki. Jojo is unbelievably cute and Yorki stole every scenes he was in. They're waaay too cute together 🥰🥰. This is one of the best opening scenes I have ever seen. I went into this movie pretty blind and was hooked from the jump. Jojo is such a great and character and this kid hit it out of the park. He's adorable and innocent and exuberant - and of course a Nazi. Really enjoyed this film and glad I gave it a shot. From the very little I read it about it I was apprehensive, but this movie is outstanding and this scene is all time for me. PANTHER COURAGE.

Hes like the New Zealand Robert Downy Jr. Haha hes hilarious. I thought this was just a comedy, but it is so much more. He's adorable. I fell in love with him in What we do in the Shadows. I watch it all the time I need a laugh. There are bigger things to worry about.  There's Russians somewhere out there. What a great movie. No one clapped when he just casually said, I'm moving to Australia to work on a new Thor with Chris Hemsworth. Must've been lost in translation xD.

I think also the fact that Taika is a Jewish Polynesian person makes his playing h-tler even funnier. So when Scarlett Johansen was on a little while back and Ellen wouldn't even let her talk about the plot of the movie because she was so offended. Now she has turned around and actually listened to what the movie had to say. I did not copyright ur song watch out. What We Do In The Shadows: one of my favorite films. Most movies: lets make a movie that doesnt offend anyone Jo jo.
