Seriously what the f was that ! That movie was so disturbing and disgusting the entire time. what kind of psycho you have to be to make this type of movie and I'm even surprised they were people who actually agreed to play in this movie. an absolute WASTE OF TIME. Also, the comic strip was showing a girl being in love with a guy who didn't love him so she made a love potion using her pubic hair and he then fell in love with her. Christian pulls one of Maya's pubes from his mouth during a meal and later says to an elder, I think I ate one of her pubes. To which the elder replies That's probably right.

The two elders in the sacrifice at the end cant be the ones who cliff jumped because you see them get cremated. I have a stupid theory to share: When the old man that failed to die by jumping, there were four people that have to hammer him, I think they're from different age group, spring, summer, fall, winter. So the youngest one has to hammer first then the oldest the last. We know their life is divided by an 18-years season. What does 18 look like if you rotated the '8' 90 degrees and put '1' below it, yes a hammer, although the hammer used doesn't look that obvious. Since 4x18 is also 72, if you add the old man's age it will be 144, as an angel number it means The angels are asking you to maintain a positive and optimistic attitude and outlook on things, especially regarding some new ventures you are about to undertake., this is what I got after watching it one time, thinking about it before sleeping, then looking up the number today.

For anyone who has not taken mushrooms or psychedelics, the scenes in this movie are incredibly accurate. it is the single most accurate depiction of psychedelics i have ever seen. the faces in the trees and landscapes, everything. its just incredible. also as someone with panic attacks the way florence plugh acts them is almost enough to trigger one. she is really, really good.

I haven't watched the movie and so when I saw that one of the characters is called Pelle my inner 12yo giggled because it means clown in Finnish. Well aren't you just a breath of fresh, pragmatic air. Love that you zeroed in on the pretension. The movie did a fine job at not highlighting it's feminist agenda in an overtly obnoxious way but its practice of restraint with the use of subtlety does little to redeem the movie in any significant way. I appreciate the effort to bring something unique or unusual to the table but it forgot to put value on any context as a precursor to building up to the shock value scenes. Anyone understand why did the girls crying along with Dani? Some people say that they are mocking her and some people say that they are sharing the emotions. But in my opinion, the girls are crying because Dani is the May Queen, she has that important role so the girls joining her because their queen is crying. Considering this movie has a heavy religious theme, i find it no accident at all that the guy who was being a complete jerk the entire movie was named christian. and was also sacrificed by this lesser pagan religion as the centerpiece of the ritual. If you're interested in knowing the whole meaning of the symbolism used throughout this movie I seriously recommend you this video, not everything is entirely related to the movie, but the way it is explained is probably the most accurate interpretation of the meaning behind it.
